New York subway station attack accused arrested: Police traced from CCTV; Attacker's sister does not believe that brother can do such an attack

The Brooklyn metro station was attacked in New York, the USA on Tuesday. The accused in this case has been arrested by the New York Police. The name of this 62-year-old accused is Frank R. James. On Tuesday, 29 people were injured in the firing at the metro station. The attacker had fired 33 rounds, in which 10 people were shot. The rest were injured due to stampedes or bombs.

 

Police said that before the arrest, the police tracked their location of James. For this, CCTV footage of the areas around the metro was scanned. James' sister, Katherine James, told the New York Times that she was surprised to see the brother look suspicious. Katherine said I don't think my brother would do anything like that.

 

Frank was arrested Wednesday in New York City's East Village. The New York City Police Commissioner said an update would be given soon regarding the investigation into the subway attack.

 

Weapons were recovered from the ban

 

Earlier, New York Police said that an empty van was found in Brooklyn. This van was rented by James in Philadelphia. Along with this, a 9 mm semi-automatic handgun and gas grenades were also found in the van. However, it is not yet known where he got this weapon.

 

Frank has also shared several posts on social media against New York Mayor Adams. A $50,000 reward was also announced to him. James was wearing a construction helmet at the time of the attack. The helmet was recovered in a garbage can.

 

4 children were also injured in the attack

 

Four school children in the age group of 12 to 16 years were also injured in the Metro attack. Of the 10 people who were shot, the condition of 5 is still critical but is stable. It is a matter of relief that no one has died in the firing so far.

 

Unexploded bombs were found on the spot

 

According to the police, the person who opened fire was dressed like a construction worker. According to the New York Post, James entered the station with some small bombs. He also had a gun in his hand. The area has been sealed. Some reports say that after this incident at Brooklyn station, when the search operation was carried out there, some unexploded bombs were also found.

 

life sentence

 

Breonna Peace, Attorney for the Eastern District of New York, said Frank James would face multiple charges. This includes deadly attacks on metro passengers and employees and the use of dangerous weapons to cause grievous hurt. Peace said that if found guilty, he could face a life sentence.
