Covid-19 update: 16 percent jump in new cases of the corona, 19,893 patients found in a day

The ups and downs in the case of Corona in the country continue. In the last 24 hours, there has been an increase of about 16 percent in new cases. 19,893 new cases of corona have been registered in a day, after which the total number of infected in the country has increased to 44,087,037. On Wednesday, 17,135 new cases were reported.

 

 

According to the data released by the Union Health Ministry on Thursday, the death toll rose to 5,26,530 after 53 more people died of an infection in the country. The number of patients under treatment for Covid-19 in the country has come down to 1,36,478, which is 0.31 percent of the total cases. There was a decrease of 579 in the number of patients undergoing treatment in the last 24 hours. The national recovery rate of patients is 98.50 percent.

 

 

Significantly, on 7 August 2020, the number of infected people in the country exceeded 20 lakh, on 23 August 2020 30 lakh, and on 5 September 2020, more than 40 lakh. The total cases of infection crossed 50 lakh on 16 September 2020, 60 lakh on 28 September 2020, 70 lakh on 11 October 2020, 80 lakh on 29 October 2020, and 90 lakh on 20 November.

 

On 19 December 2020, these cases had crossed one crore in the country. Last year, on May 4, the number of infected had crossed 20 million and on June 23, 2021, it crossed 30 million. On January 25 this year, the cases of infection had crossed four crores.
