Five soldiers, including a captain, were killed and 12 civilians were injured in multiple explosions in Pakistan's Balochistan province on Sunday. The News International newspaper reported in its report that five soldiers, including a Pakistani army captain, were killed in four explosions at different places on Sunday. Of the four blasts, two occurred in Quetta and one in the Kahan area of Kohlu district. The fourth explosion took place in Turbat. Significantly, these attacks have been done on the day of celebrating the 146th birthday of Pakistan's founder Muhammad Ali Jinnah.

There have been many terrorist attacks in Pakistan in the last few days.

At least four people were reported injured on Sabjal Road in Quetta. According to Quetta police, two hand grenades were hurled on the road. One of these exploded while the other was disabled. Condemning the incident, Balochistan Chief Minister Abdul Qudus Bizenjo asked the police chief to make security arrangements more effective in the city. There have been several terrorist attacks in Pakistan in the last few weeks.

Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan had taken the employees hostage

The Tehrik-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) recently captured the Counter-Terrorism Department (CTD) in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa's Bannu city and took its staff hostage. According to newspaper reports, there have been several clashes between the forces of Pakistan and Afghanistan on the Afghan border in the town of Chaman in Balochistan.

TTP is an organization linked to the Afghan Taliban. After the Taliban took over power in Afghanistan in August last year, TTP activities in Pakistan have also increased. The ceasefire between the TTP and the Government of Pakistan was mediated by the Afghan Taliban.

In November, the radical Islamic group stepped up its attacks, announcing the end of the ceasefire. TTP also attacked Army Public School in 2014.
