
A saree woven with gold thread is being prepared in Ramnagar for Reliance Foundation's chairman Nita Ambani and her mother. Two to three artisans are engaged in preparing real zari and tested zari sarees as per the order received from Reliance Swadesh four months ago. Nita Ambani herself reached the weaver's handloom at night, where she closely observed the fine workmanship on the saree.
After offering cards at Shri Kashi Vishwanath temple, Nita Ambani, who is busy preparing for the wedding of her son Anant and daughter-in-law Radhika, went to see the saree being prepared on the handloom of weaver Vijay Maurya at Sahitya Naka in Ramnagar at night. She took information from the artisan about the materials used in the saree.
She said that Banarasi weaving will be made globally through the Reliance Swadesh Foundation.
