Meanwhile, the University Grant Commission (UGC) has approved the opening of universities and colleges with a capacity of 50% of students. Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) has been issued for this. The UGC has said that all the state governments will decide on when the state universities and colleges will open, while the date of starting classes in higher educational institutions or universities under the purview of the central government will be decided by the vice-chancellor or the director himself.
Guidelines
The UGC said that students with corona symptoms should be given online education at the moment. They should not be allowed to stay on campus, share room in university or college hostels.
An alternative system should be prepared for international students, so that they cannot miss their course if they are unable to come.
All students, teachers, or staff in the class must wear masks. Social distancing has to be followed.
Institutions falling in the Containment Zone will not be able to open at the moment. There will also be a ban on students, teachers, or staff coming from these zones.
Students of research courses and postgraduate students of science technology courses should be called first. Students' studies should be started in different phases.
Testing more than the national average in 25 states
So far, more than 11.40 crore people have been screened in the country. Among them, more than 1-1 crore people have been screened in Uttar Pradesh, Bihar, and Tamil Nadu. In every 10 lakh population in the country, the number of testing has also increased to 81 thousand 883.
It is good that there are now 25 states and union territories in the country, where even more people are being investigated in the same population. There are 3 states in which there are more than two lakhs in every 10 lakh population, more than 1 lakh in 11 states, and 81 thousand 883 to one lakh in 11 states.

On Wednesday, active cases increased in Kerala, Delhi, Telangana, Chhattisgarh, Haryana, Punjab, Uttarakhand, Himachal Pradesh, Manipur, Chandigarh, and Ladakh. The maximum increase was 1003 in Chhattisgarh, 994 in Delhi, 358 in Telangana, and 282 in Kerala.

1. Madhya Pradesh
On Thursday, 734 patients were found in the state. 5 people died and 817 people recovered and went to their home. So far, 1 lakh 74 thousand 825 people have been infected in the state. Of these, 7766 patients are being treated, while 1 lakh 64 thousand 67 people have been cured. So far 2992 patients have died due to infection.
2. Rajasthan
On Thursday, 1810 new cases were found in the state, while 10 patients died. 1822 patients were discharged after recovery. So far, 2 lakh 5 thousand 800 people have been infected. Of these, 1 lakh 87 thousand 544 people have been cured, while 1955 patients died. There are currently 16 thousand 301 patients who are undergoing treatment.
3. Bihar
On Thursday, 741 new cases were found in the state, 467 people recovered and 8 patients died. So far, 2 lakh 20 thousand 246 people have been affected by the infection in the state. Of these, 6 thousand 826 patients are being treated, while 2 lakh 12 thousand 298 people have been cured. So far, 1121 people have died from Corona.
4. Maharashtra
The state's testing figure has increased to 92.5 lakhs. So far 17 lakh 3 thousand 444 people have been found infected. Within the last 24 hours, 5246 new patients were found. 11 thousand 277 people were recovered and 117 patients died. So far, 15 lakh 51 thousand 282 people have been cured, while 44 thousand 665 patients have died. Right now there are 1 lakh 6 thousand 764 patients who are undergoing treatment.
5. Uttar Pradesh
On Thursday, 1351 people were recovered in the state, while 1879 new patients were found. 28 patients also died during the area. A total of 7131 people have lost their lives so far, while over 4.91 lakh people have been infected. Of these, 4.61 lakh people have been cured. So far, the corona test of 1.56 crore people has been done in the state.
