World Cup: Former chief selector selected Indian team for World Cup 2023, No. 1 spinner and dashing batsman out

Only days are left for the Asia Cup 2023. The Indian team has participated in the fitness test camp in Bangalore. On September 2, India will take on arch-rivals Pakistan. After this, India will start preparing for the World Cup. In such a situation, former chief selector of India Srikkanth has announced his 15-member team.

 

Former cricketer Srikkanth has selected 6 batsmen in his team for the World Cup 2023. Srikkanth has announced the names of Rohit Sharma, Shubman Gill, Ishan Kishan, Virat Kohli, KL Rahul, and Suryakumar. Surprisingly, Srikkanth has not picked Shreyas Iyer, who is back from injury, in his team. Shreyas Iyer has been selected for the Asia Cup.

Ashwin was not given a place in the team

Of. Speaking on Star Sports, Srikkanth announced his team for the World Cup 2023. Surprisingly, former Indian opener Srikkanth did not give place to veteran spinner Ravichandran Ashwin in the team. Srikkanth has selected four bowlers. It includes Jaspreet Bumrah, Mohammed Shami, and Shardul Thakur. Srikkanth has also given place to Mohammad Siraj in the team.

 

The pair of 'Kulcha' made a comeback

At the same time, three all-rounders have been included in the team. Among them, Ravindra Jadeja, Hardik Pandya, and Akshar Patel have been selected. Talking about the spinner, the pair of "Kulcha" has been backed. He has given place to Yuzvendra Chahal and Indian chinaman Kuldeep Yadav in the team.
