First of all, PM Modi has given a diamond to Jill Biden, the first lady of America. This diamond is not an ordinary diamond. PM Modi has given Jill a 7.5-carat green diamond. It has been developed in the laboratory.

 

This special diamond cannot be kept in just any box, rather a very beautiful box has been prepared for it. The name of this box is Papier Mache. This green diamond is kept in this only. It is also known as Kar-e-Kalamdani. At the same time, this green diamond is a symbol of responsible luxury, a symbol of India's 75 years of independence and sustainable international relations.

After this, Prime Minister Narendra Modi presented a special sandalwood box to US President Joe Biden. It is handmade by a craftsman from Jaipur. It has intricately carved flora and fauna patterns in sandalwood sourced from Mysore. Not only this, there are many such items inside this box, which are very special for our Indian culture.

The Indian PM has given these special gifts to the US President to make him aware of the country's culture. Inside this box is an idol of Lord Ganesha, a Hindu deity who is believed to be the destroyer of obstacles. He is worshiped first among all the deities. The idol has been handcrafted by a family of fifth-generation silver craftsmen from Kolkata.

 

Not only this, but it also houses a diya (oil lamp), which holds a sacred place in every Hindu household. This silver diya is also handcrafted by the family artisans of fifth-generation silver craftsmen in Kolkata.

 

The box gifted by PM Modi to US President Joe Biden also contains a 99.5 percent pure and hallmarked silver coin. It has been beautifully crafted by the artisans of Rajasthan. It is offered as Raupyadan (donation of silver). Lavan or salt from Gujarat is offered for lavender (donation of salt).

 

There are ten donations in this particular box. A delicate handmade silver coconut by skilled artisans from West Bengal has been given in place of the cow for the donation of the cow. A fragrant piece of sandalwood obtained from Mysore, Karnataka is given in place of the land for Bhoodan (donation of land). Sesame or white sesame seeds brought from Tamil Nadu are given for Tildaan (donation of sesame seeds). In addition, a handmade, 24-karat pure and hallmarked gold coin in Rajasthan has been introduced as Hiranyadan (donation of gold).

 

Special four boxes, a visible glimpse of the states

PM Modi has given another gift. He has given only four separate boxes. These are not ordinary coaches, but these coaches have that special thing, which is considered very special for the people of India. It is very famous among Indians. Different states can be seen in these four compartments.

 

The first of the four special boxes contains ghee or butter from Punjab, which everyone knows how special it is considered to be. On the other hand-woven textured tussar silk fabric is sourced from Jharkhand. The third is long grain rice from Uttarakhand. Besides, the fourth box contains jaggery, which has been imported from Maharashtra.

 

Gave a copy of the first edition of 'The Ten Principal Upanishads'

In addition, in 1937, WB Yeats published an English translation of the Indian Upanishads, co-authored with Purohit Swami. Translations and collaborations between the two authors took place throughout the 1930s, and it was one of Yeats' last works. Prime Minister Narendra Modi gifted a copy of the first edition of the book 'The Ten Principal Upanishads', published by Faber & Faber Ltd., London, and printed at University Press Glasgow, to President Joe Biden.
