Coronavirus infection cases are being reported increasing in many countries of the world including India. Especially after Asian countries - Hong Kong-Singapore, China, now its cases in India are also raising concern. According to the dashboard of the Union Health Ministry, there are currently 257 active cases of corona in the country, Kerala is the most affected state.

Infected people have also been confirmed in Delhi-NCR and surrounding cities. Three cases of coronavirus infection have been reported in Gurugram and Faridabad. An official said on Thursday that two cases were reported from Gurugram and one from Faridabad. In Gurugram, infection has been confirmed in a 31-year-old woman who recently returned from Mumbai, while the other patient has no travel history.

After the recent increase in cases of Covid-19 in Southeast Asia, people have also been alerted in India. Most of the cases here have been reported from Kerala, Maharashtra, Gujarat, and Tamil Nadu. The good thing is that most of the cases are mild and people are not facing serious problems.

Review of the situation in Uttar Pradesh

Amid concerns over rising cases of COVID-19, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath recently reviewed the current situation of COVID-19 in the state. The Chief Minister assured the public that there is nothing to worry about in the state, although vigilance and precaution are necessary given the global context.

According to the official release, Chief Minister Adityanath said that the central government has not issued any new advisory regarding COVID-19. Still, all people need to be on alert considering their risks.

Omicron is the main reason for increasing infection.

If we look at the medical reports, it is known that the JN.1 variant of Omicron is responsible for the increasing infection worldwide. Some other sub-variants of Omicron are also being seen in different parts, although the nature of all of them is almost the same.

There is no risk of developing more serious diseases in those infected with this.

People who have a weak immune system or who already have one or two chronic diseases (comorbidities) may be at risk of developing serious problems due to this.
