PM Modi Assam Visit: Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Assam today i.e. on 14 April. During this, he will inaugurate and lay the foundation stone of various projects worth about Rs 14,300 crore. This information has been given by PMO i.e. Prime Minister's Office.
Inauguration of three medical colleges including AIIMS
PM Modi laid the foundation stone of AIIMS Guwahati in May 2017. It has been prepared for Rs 1120 crore. AIIMS will provide world-class health facilities to the people of North East. In addition, the Prime Minister will also dedicate to the nation three medical colleges with 500 beds namely Nalbari Medical College, Nagaon Medical College, and Kokrajhar Medical College.
Will launch 'Aapke Dwar Ayushman'
The Prime Minister will formally launch the 'Aapke Dwale Ayushman' campaign in Assam. The three representatives will distribute Ayushman Bharat Pradhan Mantri Jan Arogya Yojana (AB-PMJAY) cards to the beneficiaries. After this, about 1.1 crore cards will be distributed in all the districts of the state. Besides this, PM Modi will lay the foundation stone of the Assam Advanced Health Care Innovation Institute (AAHII). This is a step towards realizing the Prime Minister's vision of 'Atmanirbhar Bharat' and Make in India.
Will launch 'Assam Cop'
PM Modi will also participate in a program organized on the occasion of the Platinum Jubilee celebrations of the Gauhati High Court at Shri Mant Sankardev Kala Kshetra in Guwahati. During this, he will launch 'Assam Cop', a mobile application designed by the Assam Police. This mobile application will facilitate the search of accused and vehicles from the database of the Crime and Criminal Network Tracking System and Vehicle National Register.
The foundation stone of the bridge to be built on the Brahmaputra river
The Prime Minister will lay the foundation stone of a bridge over the Brahmaputra River connecting Palashbari and Sualkuchi. This bridge will provide much-needed connectivity to the region. Besides this, the PM will also inaugurate a 500 TPD capacity methanol plant at Namrup in Dibrugarh. The rail projects that will be inaugurated include the Digaru-Lumdig section, Gauripur-Abhaypuri section, the doubling of the New Bogaigaon-Dhup Dhara section, electrification of Raninagar Jalpaiguri-Guwahati section, electrification of Senchoa-Silghat Town and Senchoa-Merabari section.
The foundation stone of the home beautification project
PM Modi will also lay the foundation stone of the project related to the beautification of Rang Ghar in Sivasagar. The project will upgrade the tourist facilities at the site. The beautification project of Rang Ghar includes a fountain show built around a huge water body and showcasing the history of the Ahom dynasty, a boat house with a jetty for an adventurous boat ride, an artisan village to promote local handicrafts, For food lovers, facilities like a variety of ethnic cuisine will be provided. The Rang Ghar in Sivasagar is one of the most iconic structures depicting Ahom culture and traditions. It was built by the Ahom king Swargadeo Pramatta Singha in the 18th century.
The record will be made of Bihu dance performance
Prime Minister Modi will also observe a huge Bihu dance. It is being organized to showcase the Bihu dance of Assam globally as the mascot of the cultural identity and life of the Assamese people. More than 10,000 Bihu artists will participate in this event at one place and will try to create a new Guinness World Record in the category of the world's largest Bihu dance performance. Artists from 31 districts of the state will participate in this program.
