Lucknow Super Giants spinner Digvesh Singh Rathi had to pay heavily for doing a 'notebook' celebration during the match against Punjab Kings. BCCI punished Digvesh severely after the match. After taking the wicket of Punjab Kings batsman Priyansh Arya, Digvesh Singh celebrated in 'notebook' celebration style, but he was found guilty of violating the rules of IPL. Lucknow Super Giants player Digvesh Rathi (Digvesh Rathi Punishment) sent off batsman Priyansh Arya in the match played against Punjab Kings. During this, as soon as he took his wicket, he did a 'notebook' celebration, which cost him heavily. After taking Priyansh's wicket, he gestured for him to go to the dugout in 'notebook' style.

 

Due to this, Digvesh Rathi has been fined 25 percent of his match fee. Apart from this fine, 1 demerit point was also added to the account of the Lucknow player.

 

The match referee found Digvesh Rathi guilty of Level 1. It is written in the IPL media advisory that Digvesh Singh has been found guilty of Level 1 under Article 2.5. Let us tell you that if a player is found guilty of Level 1, then in that case the decision of the match referee is valid and final.

 

In the match, Digvesh Rathi took 2 wickets against Punjab. He took 4 wickets by spending 30 runs in his quota of 4 overs.

Punjab Kings defeated Lucknow Super Giants by 8 wickets in the 13th match of IPL 2025.
