The festival of Ram Navami is being celebrated with religious fervor and enthusiasm across the country today. This festival is celebrated to commemorate the birth of Lord Rama, the seventh incarnation of Lord Vishnu.

 

Ram Navami is celebrated on the ninth day of Chaitra month according to the Hindu calendar. Nine days of Navratri fasting are observed before Ram Navami. On the occasion of Ram Navami, devotees offer prayers at the Ram Lalla temple and take a holy dip in the Sarayu river.
