Remedisvir not available in big states including Delhi, paying double the price

Remedysevir, an effective drug for serious corona patients, has caused a crisis in large states, including Delhi, Maharashtra, Tamil Nadu, and Karnataka. To save the lives of the Timardar patients, they are buying it from the black market at double the price. Hospitals and patients are also struggling due to a lack of adequate consignment of Koviphor, the generic version of the drug in the country.

 

 

Medicines are available in some hospitals of Delhi, but due to lack of adequate stock, sale to outside patients is not fulfilling their needs. A group of family members at RML Hospital said their 33-year-old patient is not breathing. The doctors asked him to bring Remedesivir medicine, but the medicine was not found. Wholesalers also raised their hands. On the condition of anonymity of the patient, the family said that after eight hours of hard work, a pharmacy man provided this medicine in black for eight thousand rupees. Dr. Suresh Kumar, Medical Superintendent of Loknayak said that his hospital has recently ordered a stock of Remedisvir, but is using it only on the patients of the hospital.

 

 

Government hospital and patients upset due to lack of medicines in Mumbai

Government hospitals in Mumbai do not have this medicine. The doctors are asking the timadars to bring the medicine from outside, but it is not available. Stocking by private hospitals mostly led to shortages.

 

 

Shortage in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu

Patients and hospitals in Karnataka and Tamil Nadu are also looking for Remedesivir at every pharmacy, which is available at two to three times the price. Poor patients hospitalized are in crisis.

 

 

Not even stock in the largest wholesale market of medicines

The price per dose of Remedesiver is Rs 5400 and it costs Rs 32,400 according to the six doses required for treatment, but if you consider the price at least eight thousand rupees in the black market, then you are paying two thirds more. At the same time, Remedesivir does not have stock even from the Bhagirath Palace in Delhi, the largest wholesale market of medicines in the country.

 

 

On the other hand, America bought all the stock

The US has purchased three months of worldwide stock of Remedisvir, which succeeded in saving the lives of serious corona patients. This has become difficult for Europe, Britain.

 

 

Boom in demand after approval from many countries

Remadecivir is the only drug that was approved in several countries, including the US, India, for corona treatment, after which there was a sharp surge in demand. Dr. Andrew Hill, Senior Research Fellow at Liverpool University, said that for five months we were waiting for the results of the drug tests, but after the US proved to be a successful drug, the entire stock was grabbed.
