Greece Earthquake: 5.5 magnitude earthquake in Greece, tsunami feared, no casualties reported

Earthquake tremors were felt on the Greek island of Crete on Monday morning. After which people ran out of their homes. The intensity of the earthquake on the Richter scale was 5.5. According to information, the earthquake occurred at 4.54 am (Indian time).

 

Its depth was 80 km (49.71 mi). There is no immediate news of damage. The earthquake was felt as far as Cairo and Egypt, the Athens Geodynamic Institute said. Earlier, the European-Mediterranean Seismological Center (EMSC) revised the earthquake's magnitude from 6 to 5.4.

Earthquake tremors were also felt in Kullu and Mandi in Himachal Pradesh on 16 November. Its intensity was measured at 4.1. At the same time, earthquake tremors were felt in Arunachal Pradesh, which came at around 9.55 in the morning. The intensity of the earthquake was 3.7 on the Richter scale.
