Rain has caused havoc in Himachal Pradesh. Cloudburst has occurred at two places in Nirmand of Ani, Malana of Kullu, Thaltukhod of Mandi district, and Chamba district. Many houses, schools, and hospitals have been damaged due to cloudbursts. About 51 people have gone missing at all three places. Four bodies have been recovered. 35 people have been rescued safely here. After the cloudburst incident, all schools and educational institutions of Padhar in Mandi have been closed today. DC has issued orders.

 

Cloudburst caused havoc in Thaltukhod of Mandi at midnight. There is news of the collapse of houses here. Road connectivity has also come to a standstill. SDRF and other teams have left for the spot. Thaltukhod Panchayat Pradhan Kali Ram said that a cloudburst has occurred in Terang and Rajban villages. Many people are missing in the incident. Three houses are reported to have been washed away.

 

It has been learned that nine people are missing in the cloudburst incident in Thaltukhod of Padhar subdivision, one body has been recovered. While 35 are safe. Mandi district administration has alerted the Air Force for rescue. Services will be taken if help is needed. NDRF has also been requested for help.

 

DC Apoorva Devgan and rescue teams are going to the affected area on foot. The local administration present on the spot is engaged in relief work. There is difficulty in reaching the spot due to broken roads and paths.

 

Apart from this, cloudburst has caused havoc on the Shimla-Kullu border. Many houses, schools, and hospitals have been damaged. Many people are reported missing. Relief and rescue operations have been carried out. The SDRF team has left for the spot. According to the information, a cloudburst has occurred in the Nirmand area of ​​Kullu. This has caused heavy damage. More than 20 people are reported missing.

 

There has been a report of a cloudburst near the hydro project in Samej Khad in Jhakdi of Nirmand block. The cloudburst occurred early Thursday morning. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap and Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Gandhi have also left for the site of the incident. Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said that as soon as the information about the incident was received, the NDSRF team, police, and rescue team left for the site of the incident.

 

He said that 19 people were reported missing from the area affected by the cloudburst. SDM Rampur Nishant Tomar is reaching the site of the incident. Due to the road being closed at many places, the team is trying to reach the site of the incident by walking two kilometers.

 

Deputy Commissioner Anupam Kashyap said that the ITBP, Special Home Guard contingent has also been included in the rescue team. He said that all the teams are working together in the rescue operations. All basic facilities including ambulances have been included in the rescue operation.

 

Malana One and Malana Two power projects have suffered heavy damage due to cloudbursts during heavy rains in Malana Nallah of Kullu district. After heavy rains, the water level of the Parvati River has also risen above the danger mark. People from all the areas on the river bank including Jiya and Bhuntar have been appealed to vacate their houses and go to a safe place. Along with this, the water level in Vyas and Tirthan rivers has also increased. Everyone has been appealed to stay at safe places away from the rivers and drains.

 

8-10 houses have been washed away in Bagipul of Nirmand area of ​​Kullu district. This includes Patwar Khana, hotels, and shops. Seven to ten people are reported missing in Bagipul. In this, seven people of the same family are said to be missing. Tehsildar is on the spot. The search operation is being started till Koyal Khad. Many bridges have been washed away in Nirmand, and most of the roads are closed. The bus stand in Bagipul has been destroyed. 15 vehicles have been washed away in the water.
