Due to poor fielding in the last over, Team India lost the first ODI against Bangladesh by one wicket. Bangladesh needed 51 runs to win and the last pair were on the field. During this, there were chances of catches. But, India could not redeem them and lost the match.

 

Despite the defeat, many moments like Virat Kohli's brilliant catch, and Ibadat Hussain's hit wicket were seen in the match. We will know them in this news.

 

Ibadat hit wicket

Bangladesh fast bowler Ibadat Hossain got hit a wicket. In the 39th over, Ibadat went to play Kuldeep Sen's bouncer on the backfoot, but he went too deep in the crease. His back foot hit the stumps, due to which he had to return to the pavilion after being hit wicket.

 

Rahul missed an easy opportunity

Team India dropped 3 catches in the match. Rohit Sharma dropped the catch of Liton Das in the slip in the 13th over. Mehdi Hasan was caught twice in the 43rd over off the bowling of Shardul Thakur. First keeper KL Rahul dropped a simple catch while running towards fine leg. On the very next ball, the catch was taken toward the third man. But, Washington Sundar did not run to take the catch.

 

The ground fielding was also poor in the last overs. Sundar misses a boundary in the field. At the same time, the rest of the fielders also looked sluggish in the last overs.

 

5 wickets fell in 8 runs

Bangladesh team was in a strong position by scoring 128 runs for 4 wickets for a time. But, Shardul Thakur made Mahmudullah LBW for 128 runs. In the very next over, Mohammad Siraj dismissed Mushfiqur. Then Kuldeep Sen dismissed Afif Hussain on 134. Kuldeep himself sent Ibadat to the pavilion on 135 runs. Then Siraj took the wicket of Hasan Mahmood for 136 runs. In this way, Bangladesh got 5 wickets in scoring 8 runs.

 

Virat caught the catch with one hand

Former India captain Virat Kohli caught the attention of the spectators by taking a spectacular catch with one hand. Kohli took a catch in the 24th over and sent Shakib Al Hasan to the pavilion. Shakib tried to drive Washington Sundar's short of a good length ball. Where Kohli, standing on the cover, jumped in the air with one hand and caught the catch. Shakib scored 29 runs on 38 balls.

 

India got a wicket on the first ball

Defending a target of 187 runs, India got a wicket on the very first ball. Deepak Chahar bowled the very first ball of the second innings short of good length. Bangladeshi opener Najmul Hasan Shanto went to play it on the back foot. But, the ball took the outside edge of Shanto's bat and went to Rohit standing in the slips. Rohit made no mistake and Shanto had to walk back to the pavilion.

 

Flying catch by Liton Das

In the first innings, Bangladesh captain Liton Das caught a flying catch of Virat Kohli. In the 11th over, Virat played a lofted cover drive on Shakib's fourth ball. Kohli could not control it. The ball went up in the air and Liton dived in the air to take a brilliant catch. Virat got out after scoring 9 runs in 15 balls.
