Prime Minister Narendra Modi is on a visit to West Bengal today. Due to inclement weather, he was unable to reach the venue in Nadia, Bengal. Addressing the Tahirpur rally virtually, the PM said, "I apologize that due to bad weather, I could not reach the venue in Nadia, Bengal."

At the Tahirpur rally, PM Modi said that the aim of our efforts is to ensure modern connectivity in the remote areas of Bengal, which are suffering due to backwardness. This land of West Bengal is the land of immortal songs like Vande Mataram; this land has given great saints like Bankim Chandra to the country.

Bengal and the Bengali language have always enriched India. Jai Nitai, my heartfelt greetings to all my Bengali brothers and sisters. First of all, I apologize that due to a natural calamity, I could not be present among you all.

Why is there an obstacle to Bengal's development?

Addressing the Tahirpur rally virtually, the PM said that the Bihar election results have opened the doors for a BJP victory in Bengal. He also targeted West Bengal Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, saying that Mamata Banerjee has no problem opposing Modi or the BJP. But why is she obstructing the development of Bengal? PM Modi alleged that infiltrators in Bengal are receiving protection from the TMC.

The rule of lawlessness will end soon.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi launched a strong attack on the Mamata government on Saturday, saying that just like in Bihar, the great rule of lawlessness will soon end in Bengal. Addressing the Parivartan Sankalp Jan Sabha in Taherpur, Nadia district, bordering Bangladesh, virtually from Kolkata airport, the PM said that just as the people of Bihar rejected the rule of lawlessness, the people of Bengal are now ready. The PM said that Bihar has shown the way to victory in Bengal. He also said that the Ganges flows from Bihar to Bengal.

The TMC government is a government of corruption

The TMC government is a government of corruption. It must be overthrown. Through this public meeting, PM Modi launched the BJP's election campaign in Bengal. The PM appealed to the people of Bengal to give the BJP a chance once. Before the public meeting, the Prime Minister also inaugurated and laid the foundation stone for two national highway projects worth ₹3,200 crore via virtual means.

It is worth noting that the Prime Minister's helicopter could not land in Nadia district due to dense fog and poor visibility. Considering security protocols and technical reasons, the pilot decided to return to Kolkata. This is PM Modi's first visit to West Bengal since the draft list of the National Register of Citizens (NRC) was released in the state.
