Two years have passed since the attack on the US Parliament. Regarding the Capitol Hill violence (US Capitol Riot), US President Joe Biden said that two years ago i.e. on January 6, 2021, the rebellion in the US Capitol was an attack on the country's democracy, but we have won. He said that the US Capitol was breached, which had never happened before in the history of the United States, even during the Civil War.

The attack took place on 6 January 2021

Significantly, on January 6, 2021, supporters of former President Donald Trump entered the US Parliament Capitol Hill and created a lot of uproars. Trump's hand was said to be behind this violence. Five people were killed in the violence while over a hundred were injured. Trump was accused by the House of Representatives of inciting the unprecedented rebellion that led to his impeachment.

The group of violent mob insurgents not only attacking law enforcement officers and ransacked the hallowed halls, but elected officials, Biden said at a ceremony to award the Presidential Civilian Medal, one of the nation's highest civilian honors, for the first time in office. Was also made a victim. All this was done regarding the 2020 elections.

'We won' - Joe Biden

President Biden said that we have won. We honor the Americans who stayed put before and after January 6, 2021. The award recognizes citizens of the United States who have performed exemplary acts of service to their country or their fellow citizens.'

Explain that the committee probing the Capitol Hill violence has recommended criminal prosecution against Donald Trump. The Investigative Committee has held Trump responsible for the attack, although it is now up to the Justice Department to decide whether to convict Trump and prosecute him. With this recommendation, certainly, the pressure on the prosecution will increase.
