Pakistan PM's confession: Shahbaz Sharif said - It is shameful to beg after being a nuclear power, Saudi-UAE helped a lot

Shahbaz Sharif has admitted for the first time that it is a matter of shame for him to extend a helping hand on every foreign tour as Prime Minister. The surprising thing is that Sharif said this in a program of the army, which is the largest share of the total budget of Pakistan.

According to Sharif- Pakistan is an Islamic country with nuclear power and if we have to go begging every time and everywhere, then nothing can be more shameful than this.

Wazir-e-Azam in army program

Sharif participated in the passing out program of the Pakistan Army on Saturday. President Arif Alvi was also present here along with the Chief of the Army and ISI. This statement of Shahbaz Sharif in front of Army Chief General Asim Munir and ISI Chief Lieutenant General Nadeem Anjum is considered important.

Sharif said- It is a matter of great shame for me that every time I have to ask for a loan. It seems worse because Pakistan is a nuclear power country. I want to say when will we as a country depends on debt? This is not the right way to run the country, nor can we take the country in the right direction in this way. We should also think that if not today, or tomorrow, this debt has to be returned to this country as well.

Mention of Saudi Arabia and UAE

Shahbaz returned from a foreign trip to three countries only last week. First of all, he went to Geneva. Participated in the Climate Summit here and asked for $ 16 billion in aid for Pakistan so that some help could be given to the flood-ravaged country. However, from here he has been assured of getting $10 billion. Not even a single penny of this has reached the government treasury of Pakistan.

After this Sharif reached Saudi Arabia. Army Chief Asim Munir was already present here. Saudi Arabia avoided both in a way. Saudi Crown Prince Mohammed bin Salman assured to give 5 billion dollars. It was learned in the conversation that Saudi will give only $ 3 billion as a deposit. The remaining two billion dollars is already with Pakistan. UAE also did the same thing Sharif said on Saturday that he is thankful for both these countries. Hope to maintain good relations with both of them in future. During the time of Imran Khan, this relationship had become very bad.

Asked for charity and got a loan

Pakistan's biggest newspaper 'The Dawn' revealed in an editorial and a special report that the $10 billion promised to Pakistan in Geneva is not a donation or charity, but a loan. Not only this but this loan will also be given in the form of installments for three years.

After this revelation, Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif, Finance Minister Ishaq Dar, and several cabinet ministers appeared before the media. Here Dar said- $8.7 billion out of 10 is debt. We had appealed for unconditional help in Geneva.

Even more surprising, Dar said further. The Finance Minister said- I cannot tell you on what terms we will get this loan. At the same time, Sharif said - it is expected that the conditions of the loan will not be too strict. It is too early to say anything about when we will get this money.

turned Saudi

In 2020, when Saudi gave Pakistan $3 billion more oil on loan, it had put a condition and it was a matter of embarrassment for the country. Saudi had said that they can withdraw this money on 36 hours notice, Pakistan will also have to pay interest and it will be only guaranteed money. This means Pakistan will not be able to spend it. This time also the conditions have not changed. So, it is clear that the old conditions will continue.

In 2019, Saudi Crown Prince Salman visited Pakistan. Then Imran Khan was the Prime Minister and he drove the car. Even then Salman had promised to invest $10 billion in Pakistan. Even after 3 years, the promise was not fulfilled. Yes, once again the Crown Prince has reiterated the investment of $10 billion.
