The total budget is Rs 3 lakh 1 thousand 22 crores. In the new budget, the maximum budget has been allocated to the education, health, and social sectors. At the same time, the government has not imposed any new tax burden on the people despite the manifold expenditure in the health sector.

Big budget announcements...

Allocation of 8000 crores to develop 5 tourist places like the Statue of Unity, Sadd Rann, Ambaji, Dharoi Dam, Gir Sanctuary, and Dwarka Shivrajpur Beach.

Last year a budget of Rs 2.43 lakh crore was presented. After the end of the GST refund, the state government is now getting huge income from VAT only on petrol and diesel. Stamp duty revenue is also expected to increase significantly in the next financial year with the new jantri rates coming into force from April 15.

Tourism will now become a separate department, likely to be announced in the budget

The state government has given a special focus on expanding the scope of the tourism sector in the state. Tourist places like the Statue of Unity, and the White Desert of Kutch have become the center of attraction for international tourists. At the same time, lakhs of migrants visit other pilgrimage centers including Somnath, Dwarka, Ambaji, and Pavagadh throughout the year. Therefore, to promote tourism activities, a separate department for tourism has been announced in the budget.
