According to the information, the accused has been identified as Narayan Singh Chaudhary. The accused belongs to Dera Baba Nanak and is said to be related to Dal Khalsa. After firing the bullet, the police personnel immediately caught him. The police raised the accused's hand due to which the bullet went in the air. The incident took place in front of the main gate.
The accused had come to the Golden Temple on Tuesday too.
According to sources, the accused was seen roaming in Sri Harmandir Sahib on Tuesday too. After receiving the intelligence input, the police were alert and watching him. Akali leaders alleged that the police had been negligent in providing security to Sukhbir Badal.
