Wimbledon 2023: Roger Federer will be seen in Wimbledon, and will celebrate his eight trophies with fans

The second day of the Wimbledon Championships 2023 will be named after former tennis player Roger Federer. Federer's achievements will be celebrated in a special ceremony on Center Court. Eight-time champion Federer announced his retirement last September. They will be honored by remembering several of their great moments before the start of the second day's play. The historic event is set to take place on Tuesday, the second day of the prestigious Wimbledon Championships in London. Before play begins, a tribute will be paid to Federer in recognition of his unique contribution to the sport and his enduring legacy at Wimbledon.

 

The head of the All England Club said, "I'm delighted to say that Roger will be with us tomorrow and we will have a special celebratory moment on Center Court before the start of play to celebrate him winning the most Gentlemen's Singles titles at Wimbledon." to be respected as a person with Sally Bolton added: "We will have a moment to celebrate their achievements and say thank you for all the memories."

 

Federer, 41, has largely avoided tennis since his retirement following emotional scenes at the Laver Cup but was honored similarly at a grass-court event in Halle last month. Serena Williams, 41, last played at the US Open. She was also invited to Wimbledon but was unable to attend. Bolton said: "We also invited Serena, but as you may know she is pregnant so she couldn't travel. We certainly wish her the very best for the remainder of her pregnancy and we hope That maybe we can see them here next year."

 

Novak Djokovic is the favorite to match Federer's record eight singles titles at Wimbledon this year and win his 24th Grand Slam title, passing Williams on the all-time list in the Open era.
