Indian team opener Shubhman Gill was admitted to the hospital in Chennai after contracting dengue. According to the information, Gill's platelet count had fallen below one lakh, after which he was admitted to the hospital. There is good news for Indian fans Shubman Gill has been discharged from the hospital.

 

However, the worries of the Indian team are not over yet. It is difficult for Shubman Gill to play the match against arch-rival Pakistan on October 14. BCCI has already informed that Shubman Gill will not take part in the Indian team's match against Afghanistan on Wednesday.

 

 

A BCCI source, who declined to be named, told PTI, "Shubman Gill was on a drip in the team hotel in Chennai for the last few days. However, his platelet count had fallen to 70,000. If the platelet count of a dengue patient goes below one lakh, he is admitted to the hospital as a precaution. Gill was admitted to the hospital and all his tests were done on Sunday. Gill was discharged from the hospital on Monday evening.

It has been learned that Shubhman Gill was admitted to Kaveri, a renowned multi-care specialty hospital in Chennai. Indian team's doctor Rizwan stayed with him to see his progress. About 96 hours are left in the high-voltage match against Pakistan. But Gill's health is important for the Indian team management. Keeping this in mind, any further decision will be taken.

Let us tell you that due to dengue, there is a lot of weakness in the body and it takes some time to recover physically. In such a big tournament like the World Cup, no one would like to take a risk regarding Gill. Indian captain Rohit Sharma has already said that his priority is to see that Gill does not fall ill anymore.

 

Yes, Shubman Gill is ill. I feel for them. But being a human being first, I want them to get well first. I am not that captain who thinks that Gill will have to play tomorrow. I want him to be okay because he is young. If his body is fit then recovery can be expected soon.
