Ali Larijani, Secretary of Iran's Supreme National Security Council, has categorically dismissed the possibility of talks with the United States. Posting on the social media platform X, Larijani stated that Iran will not hold any negotiations with the United States.

 

 

Larijani's reaction comes after media reports claimed that Iran has indicated it is resuming talks with the United States through mediators. He dismissed these reports, stating that such speculation has no basis.

 

 

What accusations did he level against Trump?

 

In his statement, Larijani also targeted US President Donald Trump. He alleged that Trump plunged the region into chaos through false hopes and is now worried about the potential deaths of American soldiers.

 

 

Continuing Tensions in West Asia

Tensions are running high in West Asia. Following the death of Iran's Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei, the US and Israel launched heavy bombings on several Iranian military bases on Sunday. The explosions shattered windows and sent plumes of smoke billowing in several cities, including Tehran. According to Iranian officials, more than 200 people have died since the attacks began, including several senior military officers.

 

 

Trump's tough message, but also ready for talks

US President Donald Trump said in a video released on social media that the deaths of American soldiers will be avenged. He also hinted that more lives could be lost before the conflict ends. However, Trump also made it clear that he is ready to negotiate with Iran's new leadership. In an interview, he said, "They want to talk, and I have agreed."
