In the Solapur district of Maharashtra, on Wednesday, troubled youths started a unique movement for not getting married. The youth dressed as bridegrooms mounted a mare and took out a march accompanied by music and music. He says that there is a search for a girl for marriage, but the number of girls in the state is decreasing day by day. Because of this, they are not getting married. He demanded the government find the girl.

 

Letter given in the collectorate – the ratio of men and women deteriorated

While agitating, the youth reached the collectorate and gave a letter to the collector. In this, he has also demanded to find a bride for unmarried people. The agitators said that we are not getting a girl to marry, so the government and the administration should help us find a girl.

 

The youth also raised the issue of the unequal ratio of men and women in the letter. Demanded strict implementation of the Pre-Conception and Pre-Natal Diagnostic Techniques Act (PCPNDT Act) to improve the male-female ratio in Maharashtra.

 

People are making fun of us but we are not getting suitable brides - protesters

This march has been organized by Jyoti Kranti Parishad. Ramesh Barskar, the founder of the organization, said that many people are making fun of this march, but the truth is that many eligible boys are not able to get brides simply because the ratio of men and women in Maharashtra is skewed.

 

Barskar claimed that the government was responsible for such a huge gap between boys and girls because it had failed to stop female foeticide. Maharashtra has a gender ratio of 889 girls per 1,000 boys. This disparity exists because of female feticide and the government is responsible for this disparity.
