KL Rahul ended a 3,211-day wait for a Test century on home soil. After scoring a century on the second day of the Test in Ahmedabad, the Indian opener displayed a unique celebration style, which became a topic of discussion among fans on social media.

KL Rahul completed his century on the second day of the first Test between India and the West Indies in Ahmedabad. Rahul ended his Test century drought at home after nine years. Rahul reached his century off 190 balls in the first session at the Narendra Modi Stadium on Friday.

Named Nipple Celebration

The 32-year-old player adopted a unique celebration method after ending a 3,211-day century drought in home Test cricket. He took off his helmet, raised his bat towards the dressing room, and then put two fingers in his mouth, as if to send a message to his newborn daughter, Evara.

This unique celebration by KL Rahul was named the Nipple Celebration. This celebration was likely addressed to his daughter, Evara. Head coach Gautam Gambhir was delighted with KL Rahul's century. He applauded along with the rest of the support staff. Chants of "KL Rahul, KL Rahul" echoed around the field.

Century on home soil after 9 years

It's worth noting that Rahul's last home century came in a Test against England in December 2016, where Karun Nair scored his famous triple century. Rahul is in excellent form as an opener these days. He scored two centuries in India's 2-2 draw in the Anderson-Tendulkar Trophy. He amassed 532 runs in the five-Test series.
