Continuous snowfall in the mountains has intensified the chill in the plains as well. Dense fog blanketed several states, including Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Rajasthan, on Monday, causing significant inconvenience to people.
Uttar Pradesh is also experiencing the brunt of the cold wave and biting cold. There are reports of a farmer and a young man dying due to the cold in Banda. Meanwhile, road, rail, and air traffic have been severely affected due to the fog. On Monday, more than 40 districts of the state, including Kanpur, Barabanki, Ayodhya, and Lucknow, were covered in fog.

While dense fog wasn't visible on Monday, the wind was causing a continuous drop in temperature. According to the IMD, this drop in temperature is expected to continue until December 25th.
What will the weather be like in UP?
