900 people were discharged
Divisional Railway Manager of East-Central Railway, Rinkesh Roy told that about 1100 people were injured in the Balasore accident. Out of these 900 people have been discharged after treatment. But still around 200 people are admitted to different hospitals in Odisha, where their treatment is going on. Roy says that out of 275 dead, there are still 101 bodies that have not been identified yet. Bhubaneswar Municipal Corporation commissioner Vijay Amrit Kulange said that 193 bodies were kept in Bhubaneswar. Of these, 80 bodies have been identified. We have handed over 55 bodies to their relatives. The helpline number 1929 issued by the corporation has received more than 200 calls. As the dead bodies are being identified, we are handing them over to their relatives.

A train accident took place in the Bahanaga market of Balasore, Odisha on Friday. Railways has announced an ex-gratia of Rs 10 lakh to the next of kin of the deceased, Rs 2 lakh to the seriously injured, and Rs 50,000 to the other injured.
