The Lahore High Court in Pakistan has dismissed former Prime Minister Imran Khan's challenge petition in the six-year-old contempt case related to the Panama Papers. Current Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif had filed a $61 million contempt case against Imran. The Lahore sessions court had denied Imran the right to reply in the contempt case, against which he had moved the High Court.

High Court Justice Chaudhary Muhammad Iqbal on Friday upheld the decision of the sessions court. In April 2017, Imran alleged that Shahbaz had offered him $61 million through a friend to get back the Panama Papers in the Supreme Court. The Panama Papers case was going on against former Prime Minister Nawaz Sharif. In this case, Nawaz was disqualified by the Supreme Court in 2017.
Nawaz accused Imran of corruption
Nawaz Sharif said that Imran Khan and his close associates have done corruption worth five crore Pakistani rupees. The former Prime Minister said that there are many allegations of corruption against Imran with proof.
