'I will have to pay a heavy price, but I am ready, ' PM Modi's first reaction to Trump's tariff

Prime Minister Narendra Modi's first reaction came today after US President Donald Trump announced a tariff hike on India. Speaking indirectly, PM Modi said that for us, the interest of our farmers is the top priority, no matter the cost.

"India will never compromise on the interests of farmers, fishermen, and dairy farmers. I know, I will have to pay a heavy price for this, but I am ready for it. Today, India is ready for the farmers, fishermen, and dairy farmers of the country."

 

PM spoke on MS Swaminathan.
