Masoom Sharma got into trouble after singing the song 'Chambal ke Daku' at Punjab University. Chandigarh Police took big action.

Chandigarh Police has registered an FIR against singer Masoom Sharma for singing the banned song 'Chambal ke Daku' during a live show.

 

It is alleged that the singer sang this banned song during a live show held on March 28 at the Punjab University campus. According to the police, Masoom Sharma had given an assurance in writing that he would not sing any controversial or banned song.

Despite this, the accused presented the controversial song on stage. During this show, a youth died in a fight between two groups of students.

 

Who is Masoom Sharma?

 

Maoom Sharma is a famous Haryanvi singer, lyricist, and musician. He has gained popularity by uniquely presenting Haryanvi songs. Masoom Sharma was born on March 27, 1991, in Brahmanwas village under Jind village of Haryana. Recently, the Haryana government had banned many of his songs.

 

Ban on Masoom Sharma's songs

Many songs of Masoom Sharma have been banned for promoting gun culture in Haryanvi songs. Responding to media queries in Chandigarh, Chief Minister Naib Singh Saini said that if needed, a law will be made in the Assembly against songs promoting gun culture.
