This matter is related to the controversial comment made on the Modi surname. In fact, before the Lok Sabha elections in 2019, Rahul Gandhi had said during a rally in Kolar, Karnataka, "Why do Nirav Modi, Lalit Modi, and Narendra Modi have the same surname? Why do all thieves have Modi as their surname?" A complaint was filed by BJP MLA and former Gujarat minister Purnesh Modi regarding this remark of Rahul. A criminal defamation case was filed against Rahul. The BJP leader said that Rahul Gandhi defamed the entire Modi community with this comment.
Will Rahul Gandhi lose Lok Sabha membership?
If Rahul Gandhi was sentenced to more than two years, then his membership in Parliament could be in danger.
