Earlier, the National Center for Seismology said that earthquake tremors have been felt in Xizang of Tibet region since Tuesday morning. An earthquake of 7.1 magnitude occurred here at 6:30 am at a depth of 10 km. After this, an earthquake of 4.7 magnitude occurred at 7:02 am, 4.9 magnitude at 07:07 am, and 5 magnitude at 7:13 am. Due to this, people left their homes and went to open places.

Tremors fell in India too.

The tremors of the earthquake were felt in many states of India too. Bihar was the worst affected. Apart from this, tremors of earthquake were also felt in some parts of Assam, Sikkim, and West Bengal. During this, frightened people came out of their homes. According to the USGS earthquake, the epicenter of the earthquake was 93 km northeast of Lobuche.

Why does an earthquake occur?

There are 7 plates inside the earth, which keep rotating continuously. The zone where these plates collide more is called the fault line. Due to repeated collision, the corners of the plates bend. When more pressure is built up, the plates start breaking. The energy below finds a way to come out and after the disturbance, an earthquake occurs.

Know what is the meaning of the center and intensity of the earthquake.

The epicenter of an earthquake is the place just below which geological energy is released due to movement in the plates. The vibration of the earthquake is more at this place. As the frequency of vibration increases, its effect decreases. However, if there is an earthquake of magnitude 7 or more on the Richter scale, then the tremor is strong in the surrounding 40 km radius. But this also depends on whether the seismic frequency is on the upper side or in the range. If the frequency of vibration is on the upper side, then less area will be affected.
