Congress leader Digvijay Singh's brother and former MLA Laxman Singh has jumped into the controversy over Sam Pitroda's racist remarks against people living in different regions of India.

Sam Pitroda is being criticized everywhere for his controversial statement. In this sequence, Laxman Singh, younger brother of senior Congress leader and former Chief Minister of Madhya Pradesh Digvijay Singh and former MLA of Chanchauda, called his statement shameful and said.

He made this comment in a series of posts on his X handle. Also wrote that Sam Pitroda's statement is extremely shameful. Indian Overseas Congress President (now former) Pitroda had recently remarked that people in eastern India look Chinese and people living in South India look African.

Earlier this statement was given on inheritance tax

Recently, opposition parties started cornering Pitroda and Congress on his second statement after 'Inheritance Tax', after which Sam had to resign from his post. Now he is facing trouble at home over his statement.

Jairam Ramesh also criticized

As soon as Sam Pitroda's controversial statement came to light, Congress and all its top leaders distanced themselves from it. Congress National General Secretary Jairam Ramesh wrote in a post on social media that the analogies used by Sam Pitroda to describe India's diversity are unfortunate and unacceptable.
