Sharda Sinha's husband Brajkishore Sinha died last month due to a brain hemorrhage. Due to this, her health deteriorated and kept deteriorating continuously. Her son Anshuman Sinha said that Sharda Sinha has been suffering from multiple myeloma since 2017-2018. Sharda Sinha has so far sung hundreds of traditional songs of marriage and Chhath in Bhojpuri, Bajjika, Magahi, and Maithili languages.
