She is battling cancer and has been put on a ventilator for life support. She was shifted from the private ward of Delhi AIIMS to the ICU on Monday night. She is currently on ventilator support. Sharda Sinha's husband Brajkishore Sinha died last month due to a brain hemorrhage. Due to this, her health deteriorated and kept deteriorating continuously. Her son Anshuman Sinha said that Sharda Sinha has been suffering from multiple myeloma since 2017-2018. Sharda Sinha has so far sung hundreds of traditional songs of marriage and Chhath in Bhojpuri, Bajjika, Magahi, and Maithili languages. Sharda Sinha has so far sung many songs of Chhath, marriage, mundan, janeu, and vidaai.
