Sharda Sinha's husband Brajkishore Sinha died last month due to a brain hemorrhage. Due to this, her health deteriorated and kept deteriorating continuously. Her son Anshuman Sinha said that Sharda Sinha has been suffering from multiple myeloma since 2017-2018. Sharda Sinha has so far sung hundreds of traditional songs of marriage and Chhath in Bhojpuri, Bajjika, Magahi, and Maithili languages. Sharda Sinha has so far sung many songs of Chhath, marriage, mundan, janeu, and vidaai. Apart from this, Sharda Sinha has also sung songs like 'Taar Bijli Ke' in Bollywood films like 'Maine Pyar Kiya', 'Hum Aapke Hain Kaun' and Anurag Kashyap's film 'Gangs of Wasseypur'.
