India is ready to chair the G20 summit. Prominent politicians from all over the world are going to come to Delhi in a few days. However, Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping are not going to participate in this conference. At the same time, US President Joe Biden is going to visit India on Thursday.
Why did the Foreign Minister speak when Putin and Jinping did not come
On Russian President Vladimir Putin and Chinese President Xi Jinping not attending the G20 summit in Delhi, External Affairs Minister Dr. S. Jaishankar said, "I think if you look at the history, some President or Prime Minister at different times in the G20 summit For whatever reason, they have decided not to come themselves, but whoever is the representative of that country on that occasion, they put their country and its position in front.
The Foreign Minister further said that it does not matter which country sends whom to this conference, it does not matter, but what matters is the attitude of that country. We will have to wait and see what happens in the talks.
What did the Foreign Minister say about the meetings held outside Delhi?
This year the G20 meeting was successfully organized across the country i.e. from Kashmir to Arunachal Pradesh.
A few days ago PM Modi said, "His government's decision to host G-20 events across the country is an investment in capacity building among people, cities, and institutions." External Affairs Minister S Jaishankar questioned the scale of the G20 events. The opposition has been targeted for lifting.
Targeting the Congress, he said that the previous governments used to believe in organizing big meetings only in Delhi. If earlier anyone thought that he felt comfortable holding meetings in Delhi in Lutyens' Delhi itself, then that is his own belief. But, the current government is different. This is a different era.
S Jaishankar targeted the opposition
The External Affairs Minister said that Prime Minister Narendra Modi wants the entire country to have a sense of participation and ownership of the G20. G20 is something that should be treated as a national effort, in which there should be a spirit of participation from different parts of India.
Aiming at the opposition leaders, he said that some people are stuck in the time of 1983. Those who are stuck in that phase can remain stuck in that phase. The present government works on a democratic mindset.
