New revelations are continuously emerging regarding the car bombing in front of the Red Fort (Delhi Blast). Muzammil, the main suspect in the attack, told investigating agencies that he and Umar had conspired to carry out the blast in front of the Red Fort, which killed 10 people.

Investigative agencies are questioning Muzammil and are also examining his phone data. Meanwhile, Muzammil has revealed all his plans to the police.

What was the complete plan for the blast?

NDTV, citing sources, reported that Muzammil had planned a major bombing on January 26th of the following year. Muzammil, along with all his associates, was preparing to carry out blasts at several locations in Delhi, including the Red Fort, on January 26th, 2026.

The blast was planned for Diwali.

Muzammil has also confessed to investigating agencies that he intended to carry out a blast in a crowded area during Diwali, but later postponed the attack and planned to carry out the blast on January 26th instead.

Blast near the Red Fort

Muzammil was a senior doctor at Al-Falah University in Faridabad. Umar, the suspect in the car bombing near the Red Fort, also worked at the university with Muzammil. Muzammil is considered the mastermind of this attack and is being questioned by the police.

Police investigating

Police suspect that Umar also died during the car bombing. However, the police are still investigating the case. Initial investigations have revealed that several educated people and medical professionals were involved in the blast in front of the Red Fort. Jammu and Kashmir Police have labeled this entire group the "White Collar Terror Ecosystem."
