Varanasi Gyanvapi Case: The Hindu side has filed a petition in the Allahabad High Court for an investigation into the Shivling-like structure found in the Gyanvapi Masjid of Varanasi. In the petition, a scientific method has been demanded the investigation of Shivling. On this, the High Court has issued a notice to the ASI. The High Court has fixed November 21 as the next date for the hearing in the Gyanvapi case.

 

The hearing is going on in the Allahabad High Court in the matter related to the survey being conducted by the Archaeological Survey of India (ASI) of the Gyanvapi complex in Varanasi. Earlier, the Allahabad High Court had expressed deep displeasure over not filing the affidavit of the Director General of ASI. Along with this, a fine of ten thousand rupees was imposed on the Cultural Department of the Central Government.

 

Plea for carbon dating of Shivling dismissed

 

Earlier in October this year, a petition seeking carbon dating of the Shivling found in the Gyanvapi Masjid was rejected by the Varanasi district court. It is noteworthy that the Gyanvapi Masjid is located adjacent to the Kashi Vishwanath temple complex and the ongoing trial in the Varanasi court has reaffirmed the claims that at the behest of the Mughal emperor Aurangzeb, a part of the temple was demolished and replaced by the mosque. was created.

Let us tell you that in May 2022, on the order of the court, the survey of the Gyanvapi campus was done. In this survey, the shape of the Shivling form was found in the vazukhana of Gyanvapi Masjid. The Hindus demanded that they should get the right to worship on this Shivling and the entry of non-Hindus should be barred. Apart from this, the full rights of the premises should be handed over to the Hindus only.
