Turkiye Earthquake: Earthquake tremors again in Turkey, a magnitude 5.5 on the Richter scale

Strong earthquake tremors were felt once again in Turkey on Saturday. Let us tell you that an earthquake of magnitude 5.5 occurred in the central Turkish region. The European-Mediterranean Seismic Center (EMSC) gave this information.

 

According to EMSC, the earthquake was at a depth of 10 km (6.21 mi).

 

more than 50,000 dead

The death toll from the devastating earthquake that hit Turkey and Syria on February 6 continues to rise. So far more than 50,000 people have died. In Turkey alone, more than 44,000 people have lost their lives.

 

The Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) reported that the death toll in Turkey due to the earthquake had risen to 44,218 by Friday night.

 

There were 33,000 tremors in 2020

Earthquake tremors are felt every other month in Turkey. There was an earthquake of 7.8 magnitudes on February 6, after which the earth has shaken here many times. The region is considered one of the most prone to earthquakes.

 

According to Turkey's Disaster and Emergency Management Authority (AFAD) data, in the year 2020, more than 33,000 earthquakes were observed here, of which 322 had a magnitude of more than 4.0.

 

More than 2.5 crore people are sick

Due to the devastating earthquake in Turkey and Syria in early February, the condition of more than 25 million people is said to be bad. The World Health Organization (WHO) said in a statement that 26 million people in Turkey and Syria need various types of medical care. This should be taken care of immediately.
