Due to this vehicles were seen crawling on the roads. Visibility ranges from 0-50 meters in many areas of Delhi NCR. At 5:30 am on December 27, visibility of 50 meters was recorded in Safdarjung and 125 meters in Palam.
The temperature in the national capital has dropped to about seven degrees. Some trains to and from New Delhi were also delayed due to fog and low visibility. More than 30 flights have been affected due to fog in Delhi.
Due to seasonal changes, there was dense fog in Delhi on Tuesday also. Visibility remained zero for three hours in the morning in many other areas of Delhi including IGI Airport. According to the Regional Meteorological Department Centre, the maximum temperature of Delhi was recorded at 23.8 degrees on Tuesday, which is three degrees more than normal. The minimum temperature was seven degrees, which is one degree less than normal.
A change in wind direction is expected on Wednesday. There is a possibility that icy wind may blow from the north-westerly direction. The Meteorological Department has issued an orange alert for Wednesday.
According to the department, the sky will be clear during the day. There may be very dense fog in many places in the morning. During this period, the maximum temperature is expected to be around 24 degrees and the minimum temperature is expected to be around seven degrees Celsius. According to the department, the day temperature will drop due to cold wind.
It is expected that there will be fog in the morning in Delhi till January 1. According to the Meteorological Department, the minimum temperature recorded in Mungeshpur on Tuesday was 6.4 degrees Celsius, which was the coldest among other areas. Lodhi Road stood second with 7 degrees Celsius.
Air and rail traffic was affected, and traffic slowed down on roads too

According to the forecast issued by the Airport Meteorological Department, dense fog conditions will persist in Delhi for the next 24 hours. The fog can be gauged from the fact that till 9.30 am on Tuesday, the visibility was recorded at less than 200. The Meteorological Department has expressed the possibility of rain in many northern states of Tamil Nadu, Kerala and Puducherry from December 30. In such a situation, due to bad weather, the effect of fog will continue to be seen in many states including the capital Delhi.
