Haryana: Mall to open

The Haryana government has permitted to open shopping malls in Gurugram and Faridabad from July 1, three months after the lockdown to deal with the coronavirus outbreak. The Gurugram district administration said it would implement the state government's decision on reopening the mall with some restrictions while the Faridabad administration would take a final decision on the matter in a meeting on Monday. The Haryana government has earlier permitted to reopen the mall across the state from June 7, except Gurugram and Faridabad. Both these districts have more cases of Covid-19.

Maharashtra: Ban issued

Maharashtra Chief Minister Uddhav Thackeray said on Sunday that the lockdown restrictions would continue in the state even after June 30. In a televised address, Thackeray denied denial of restrictions, saying that the threat of coronavirus remains in the state. Thackeray said that the process of unlocking is being implemented gradually, which has been named 'Mission Begin Again', to bring the economy back on track. The Chief Minister said in a televised address, "In Mumbai, we got good results of the Chase the Virus campaign and now we have decided to implement it across the state." He also informed that he has written a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, seeking to expand the Prime Minister's Garib Kalyan Abhiyan so that Maharashtra can supply food grains to the poor at a low cost.

Crosses ten million infected in the world

Worldwide, the number of people infected with coronavirus has exceeded one crore. So far, about 5 lakh people have died in seven months due to this respiratory disease. According to the World Health Organization, the number of coronavirus infections is almost double the annual reported number of severe influenza disease. This epidemic is now entering a new phase. More than 10,000 cases of infections are being confirmed in India and Brazil in a single day, which is witnessing great pressure on resources. The two countries account for about one-third of the new case reported last week. On June 19, 54,700 new cases were recorded in Brazil. Some researchers say the death toll in Latin America could rise from one million this week to 380,000 by October.

Many countries affected by this pandemic are now relaxing the lockdown, however, there has been a big change in the way people work and a social life that will continue for a year or until the disease is vaccinated. In some countries, cases of re-infection are being observed, due to which the administration is being forced to partially restore the lockdown. In such a situation, experts say that the incidence of infection can be seen again in the coming months or 2021. Reuters use government reports that North America, Latin America, and Europe account for about 25 percent of infections, while Asia and West Asia account for about 11 percent and 9 percent, respectively.
