Ranbir Kapoor and Rashmika Mandanna starrer Animal was one of the highest-grossing films of 2023. However, there were controversies regarding this film. Directed by Sandeep Reddy Vanga, this film made record-breaking collections at the box office. This is Ranbir's first film to make a business of more than Rs 500 crore. After the success of this film, people are eagerly waiting for its second part 'Animal Park'. Meanwhile, the film's lead actor Ranbir Kapoor has shared a big update related to the upcoming film.

Sources close to director Sandeep Reddy Vanga have revealed that the writing of the script of 'Animal Park' will begin in February. He is preparing to shoot his police thriller, Spirit with Prabhas in the next few months. Additionally, the writing team will work on preparing the script of the sequel based on the storyline given by Sandeep. The shooting of the film will start in the year 2025.

If reports are to be believed, the story of Animal Park was ready right when 'Animal' was written as it was meant to be a multi-film outing. It is said that the second part will focus on Ranbir Kapoor's character (Ranvijay) and his lookalike. The sequel will also see Rashmika Mandanna's character (Geetanjali)'s relationship with Rannvijay and her relationship with his son.

There is also news that when Sandeep shoots for 'Spirit', he will mainly take updates every month on the script being written by Prannoy Vanga. He will start actively working with the writers only in the second half of 2024. The source says, 'Ranbir Kapoor will focus on Animal Park next year itself.'

'Animal' stars Ranbir Kapoor along with Rashmika Mandanna, Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor, Shakti Kapoor, Suresh Oberoi, and Trupti Dimri. It was released on December 1 last year and clashed with Vicky Kaushal's 'Sam Bahadur'.
