BCCI responsible for the defeat, not Team India: In the last 1 year, our players played 120 matches + 76 days of IPL, tired of both body and mind.

Team India has got only defeat in the T20 World Cup so far. Both Pakistan and New Zealand gave big defeats. The situation is that now reaching the semi-finals is finding it difficult. Who is responsible for this condition - player or BCCI? People are trolling the players including captain Virat Kohli, but the real responsibility is the BCCI, that is, the board.

In the last year, the board kept the schedule of Team India in such a way that most of the players were completely exhausted before the start of the tournament. From both body and mind. Let's understand it with 7 factors...

1. 2 IPL seasons in 13 months and continuous international cricket

Last year, due to the Corona epidemic, the Indian team could not play any series from late March to early September. IPL was also canceled. To compensate for the loss caused by this, the Indian board started such a series of continuous cricket from September, which has not stopped yet.

Indian players have been playing continuously since September 2020. The first IPL season of 2020 took place in UAE. After this India toured Australia. Then England hosted. After this, the first phase of IPL-2021 was played, which was postponed mid-season due to Corona. After this, the Indian team went to England to play the final of the World Test Championship. Then the five-Test series against England. In the meantime, the board made a B team and sent it to Sri Lanka.

When the fifth Test in England was canceled due to Corona, Indian cricketers reached UAE to play IPL Phase-2. He jumped into the World Cup two days after handling the highly competitive and deeply pressurized IPL of the franchises.

It is exhausting to read the schedule of so many series together. Imagine what would have happened to the players playing in them. Apart from 120 matches of two seasons and 3 phases of IPL, there was a round of 76 days of international cricket in which Indian players were involved. Some players have also played domestic cricket apart from these.

2. 6 Indian stars played till the last stage of IPL

The last round of IPL-2021 i.e. playoff matches started on October 10. Just a week before the T20 World Cup. In this round, 6 important players of India's World Cup team played. These included captain Virat Kohli, Ravindra Jadeja, Shardul Thakur, Rishabh Pant, Varun Chakravarthy, and Ravichandran Ashwin. Mumbai Indians played their last match on 8 October. In this team, 6 players of the Indian team including Rohit Sharma, Jasprit Bumrah were present. That is, the World Cup was about to start and almost the entire Indian team was sweating in the IPL.

3. Quarantine and bio bubble experience, permission to go to bus ground and hotel

Indians were quarantined several times in the last 1 year and were forced to spend time in a very strict bio bubble in different countries. They were not allowed to go anywhere other than the hotel and the ground. The bio bubble in Australia was extremely strict. So strict that some players wanted to leave the series and return. The same situation prevailed during the IPL as well. Continuous cricket on one side and Bio Bubble guard on the other.

BCCI's flurry of canceled IPL matches and international series at the earliest has made Indian players like circus animals, who had to either perform or remain in cages. It broke our players physically and mentally, which is now causing us to suffer in the World Cup.

4. Quave Lloyd told Bhaskar - a break of 3 weeks was necessary

Clive Lloyd, the legendary cricketer of his time and the captain who made West Indies the world champion twice has also given his opinion on excessive cricket. He told in an exclusive interview with Bhaskar that Indian players got tired of playing continuously. Lloyd said that IPL is a very tiring tournament of body and mind. After IPL Phase-2, Indian players needed rest for at least three weeks, but this was not possible, so Indian players broke down.

5. Bumrah also accepted - break was made

Indian fast bowler Jasprit Bumrah was also continuously questioned about cricket after two consecutive defeats in the T20 World Cup. He said that all the players are playing cricket continuously. In the meantime, the bio bubble has to be followed. That's why players need a break before a big tournament. He said that sometimes players have to stay away from the family. During the difficult times going on in the country and the world, one has to focus on cricket continuously by staying away from the family. This causes physical and mental fatigue. So a lot of brakes are needed.

6. ECB acted wisely, canceled the tour of Pakistan, Australia also played less

Today BCCI, England Cricket Board (ECB), and Cricket Australia (CA) are called the Big Three in the cricket world. In this, except for BCCI, the other two boards showed better understanding. Along with India, many series of these two countries were also canceled, but because of the physical and mental health of their players, both these boards canceled much more important series later. When England recently canceled the tour of Pakistan, it clearly said that apart from security, the mental health of the players is also an important issue for them. So they cannot be sent to Pakistan. Australia also first canceled the series with South Africa and later did not play much cricket. Australia has not played any Test match since April 2021.

7. Mistake in planning too: The world was focusing on T20 Internationals, we got stuck in Tests and IPL

Everyone knew that this year T20 World Cup is to be held. Keeping this in mind, all the cricket boards focused more on T20 Internationals in the second half of the year, but our board continued to focus on the IPL and Test matches that were canceled earlier. From April 2021 till now, South Africa played 15, Pakistan and West Indies 14-14, Australia 10, Sri Lanka 9, and England 6 T20 International matches. In contrast, the Indian team played only 3 T20 International matches. These 3 matches against Sri Lanka were also organized when the main team of India was preparing for the Test series in England. Most of our players who participated in the World Cup could not go to Sri Lanka.

BCCI expected that Indian players would prepare for the World Cup by playing IPL matches, but the effect of not playing together in the shortest format from cricket for a long time is visible in the World Cup on the Indian team. They don't even look like a unit.

When IPL-2021 was put on break due to Corona in May, it was estimated that if the remaining matches were not held, then the BCCI could suffer a loss of about Rs 2000 crore. To compensate for this, BCCI hastily decided to shift the IPL to UAE. Also, the T20 World Cup to be hosted by him was shifted to Oman and UAE.

The Indian board is always attentive and alert to ensure that there is no loss of money but ignores those whose money is raining on it. He doesn't care about his players.
