New Delhi, March 25 (IANS) BJP leader Arun Jaitley Tuesday said the party was in talks for an alliance in Andhra Pradesh but nothing has been finalized yet.
"Andhra elections are on April 30 and May 7 but we have not yet announced the candidates. We are discussing possible alliances and if something is arrived at, we will inform," Jaitley said in reply to queries whether the BJP would enter into an alliance with the Telugu Desam Party.
"Talks are going on. Relative strength will be evaluated before any decision is taken on seat sharing with possible allies."
Jaitley, who launched the BJP's campaign anthem "Main Desh Nahin Jhukne Doonga", said the party manifesto is in the final stage and the date for its release would be announced soon.
He added that the anthem will be available in audio and video form. The anthem is created by Prasoon Joshi, with music from Aadesh Srivastava and is sung by Sukhvinder Singh. It also contains a message from BJP's prime ministerial candidate Narendra Modi.
Asked if the whole BJP campaign is centred around only Modi, Jaitley said leadership projection is part of an election campaign.
