National President of Bahujan Samaj Party and former Chief Minister Mayawati said that the order of Muzaffarnagar Police to write the names of the shopkeepers on the Kanwar Yatra route is a wrong tradition. This can spoil the harmonious atmosphere. In the public interest, the state government should immediately withdraw this order. The BSP supremo said in her statement issued on Thursday on X that the new government order to prominently display the full name of the owner to all the shopkeepers of hotels, dhabas, carts, etc. falling on the Kanwar Yatra route of Western UP and Muzaffarnagar is a wrong tradition. On the other hand, on the issue of school children removing their shoes in Sambhal district, he said that the district administration's improper order to teachers and students in government basic schools to remove their shoes and slippers in the classroom is also in discussion. The state government should pay immediate attention to this matter as well.
