How was the atmosphere in China, fear of Corona virus in flight, how were the 14 days spent at ITBP's Quarantine Center in Chawla ... You can neither think nor we. How have people who have had these moments now going to their homes? Also, in this fearful environment, Poonam Gaur went to the Chawla camp to say what is the duty of those who are engaged at the center.
Imprisoned at home for 20 days, ate a handful of food all day '
Juan, who came from China after spending 14 days at the Quarantine Center in Chawla, said that he had some difficulties coming here in the early days. There were no friends, the little girl was afraid, she could not play, wept again and again, but in spite of this the days were much better than the days spent in China. Juan said that recently a group was also brought from Italy, some of which had positive cases of corona virus. There was an atmosphere of fear here. People started living with their windows closed, but this group of Italy was soon shifted from here, after which the atmosphere started getting better again.
Juan's husband Abhishek told that there were super markets open in China, but the fear was so high that we were imprisoned at home. We were running the work by eating only what was at home. For a few days, we ate just a handful of food throughout the day so that we could stay alive. We have spent about 20 days in China like this. Our 8 year old daughter Tanya was nervous to play. Woke up in the night and wept. He was missing school. These things were bothering us more but everything changed after coming to ITPB camp.
Manmeet Singh of Hyderabad went to China with the family for just six days. Meanwhile, the lockdown took place. There was a shortage of food and drink. We felt that the situation would improve but after that the situation started getting worse. We wanted to protect ourselves from the corona virus, so we stopped contacting people. According to Manmeet, I was accompanied by my five-year-old son and wife. In the meantime, Indian Ambassador of Beijing came as an angel to help us. Embassy's Sneha Jha helped us a lot.
Raised our courage in the atmosphere of fear, which made us feel that it is from our family. Before meeting him, we had no clarity about what was going to happen, when and how we would reach India. There was a lot of fear in the flight as well. The test at the airport was very difficult but when he came negative it came to life. There were some problems after coming here but it was not that which was bad. Like my daughter and wife have a habit of eating Chinese. He was having trouble eating Indian food every day. Those who came alone to this camp have also had a lot of fun, but those who were with the family were somewhat upset because the moments were difficult for the children.
