Coronavirus Lockdown Has Significantly Improved Air Quality, Says Pollution Control Board

पीटीआई की रिपोर्ट के अनुसार, केंद्रीय प्रदूषण नियंत्रण बोर्ड ने गुरुवार को कहा कि 22 मार्च को देशव्यापी '' जनाटा कर्फ्यू '' और 24 मार्च से लागू 21 दिन के बंद के कारण देश में वायु गुणवत्ता में उल्लेखनीय सुधार हुआ है। यात्रा प्रतिबंध और उद्योगों को बंद करने से प्रदूषण कम हुआ है।

 

"प्रदूषण फैलाने वाले प्रमुख क्षेत्रों में परिवहन, उद्योग, बिजली संयंत्र, निर्माण गतिविधियाँ, बायोमास जलाना, सड़क की धूल पुनरुत्थान और आवासीय गतिविधियाँ हैं," प्रदूषण प्रहरी ने कहा। "इसके अलावा, कुछ गतिविधियाँ जैसे डीजी सेट, रेस्तरां, लैंडफिल फायर, आदि का संचालन भी वायु प्रदूषण में योगदान देता है।"

 

बोर्ड की वेबसाइट के अनुसार, दिल्ली में शाम 4 बजे एयर क्वालिटी इंडेक्स "संतोषजनक" श्रेणी में था। सामान्य समय में, सूचकांक अक्सर "बहुत खराब" से "गंभीर" श्रेणी में हो जाता है।

 

0 और 50 के बीच एक इंडेक्स रीडिंग हवा की गुणवत्ता को "अच्छी" श्रेणी में रखती है। 51 और 100 के बीच एक रीडिंग इसे "संतोषजनक" श्रेणी में, 101 और 200 के बीच "मध्यम" श्रेणी में और 201 और 300 के बीच "खराब श्रेणी" में डालता है। इंडेक्स वैल्यू 300 और 400 के बीच आने पर एयर क्वालिटी को "बहुत खराब" कहा जाता है। 400 और 500 के बीच इंडेक्स वैल्यू क्वॉलिटी को "गंभीर" कैटेगरी में डालती है।

 

सरकार द्वारा संचालित सिस्टम ऑफ एयर क्वालिटी वेदर फोरकास्टिंग एंड रिसर्च के अनुसार, दिल्ली में 5.06 बजे वायु गुणवत्ता सूचकांक “संतोषजनक” श्रेणी में 62 था। संगठन ने कहा कि कुल मिलाकर मुंबई में सूचकांक 76, पुणे में 52 और अहमदाबाद में 94 पर रहा।
