
Cybercrime is spreading day by day in our society. Every day there are cases of cyber fraud by someone or the other. To protect people from cyber fraud, UGC has asked universities and affiliated colleges to introduce cyber security in UG and PG courses. According to a UGC statement, the cyber security course aims to make people more aware, accountable, and responsible digital citizens.
The UGC, while addressing the Vice Chancellors of all Universities and Principals of Colleges, said that “Because of the importance of cyber security and for the promotion of cybercrime prevention among HEIs, all universities are being requested to introduce courses in cyber security. Take necessary steps for its implementation. Due to cyber fraud, thugs easily blow away the hard-earned money of people in one stroke. Due to this, there is a great need to make people aware.
Aim to make aware of cyber fraud
The objective of this course is to spread more awareness and create responsible and responsible digital citizens. Along with this, people will also be made aware of being aware of cyber thugs.
UGC Cyber Security Syllabus
UGC Cyber Security syllabus for UGC programs includes Introduction to Cyber Security, Cyber Crime and Cyber Law, Social Media Overview and Security, E-commerce and Digital Payments, Digital Equipment Security, Tools and Techniques for Cyber Security, etc.
