New Delhi: The country is badly affected by the second wave of Corona. Hospitals are crowded, people are complaining about the lack of medicines, Oxygen, and other necessary facilities. Meanwhile, the Chief Scientific Advisor of the Central Government has spoken of the arrival of the third wave of Covid. In such a situation, the question arises that how long and how will be relief from such a big tragedy?

AIIMS Delhi director Randeep Guleria had a special conversation with ABP News on these issues. He said that the second wave will weaken only when people will support it. Use caution.

He said, "I believe that in different parts the peak will be higher and the peak will be less. As the cases are decreasing in Maharashtra. Talking about Delhi, Uttar Pradesh, and Punjab, the situation is stable here. It is expected that in the middle of this month, the cases will start decreasing. However, cases will increase in North-East and Bengal. Only then will the overall case start decreasing by the next month. ''

However, Guleria further said, "It depends on the people when the cases will be reduced. We have to break the chain of transmission. Everyone will have to start a campaign together. All stay at home put on masks. Do not leave the house if it is not necessary. Do not gather crowds for two three months. Do not go to the party.

Lockdown

Randeep Guleria said about the lockdown that many states have taken steps at their level. Lockdown only means do not let people meet. So that the corona chain can be broken. Lockdown should be imposed for two weeks in areas where the positivity rate is high. Beds have fallen short in hospitals. Lockdown requires strictness. If the movement of people continues then it makes no sense. With the speed with which cases are coming, any health care system will become weak in dealing with it.

How effective the vaccine is

Regarding the efficiency of the corona vaccine, he said that some such cases are coming in which people have suffered even after taking the corona vaccine. This is also revealed in the trial. We believe that after taking the vaccine, antibodies will be made in 80 percent of the people. It is not 100 percent effective. People need to be cautious even after taking the vaccine. The vaccine is effective on all variants of Corona.
