China showed the world a tremendous arsenal of its new weapons at the International Air Show on Tuesday. Through this air show, China has tried to make the world realize its power. Through these weapons and equipment, China has demonstrated its airpower in disputed territories from Taiwan to the South China Sea and amidst growing rivalry with the US. China has demonstrated it at the International Professional Aerospace Exhibition held in China itself.
The biggest air show ever is being organized in China. To enhance China's economic development and make a greater contribution to the development of World Aerospace, the 13th International Aerospace Expo is being held from September 28 to October 3 at the Zhuai International Airshow Center in Quangtong Province, China. In this air show, more emphasis is being laid on protecting peace and serving the economic construction of the country. This air show will show the results of the development of China's aviation industry.
In this, drones to jets made with new technology have also been shown. All of them were seen flying in the sky. It is believed to be the biggest air show in China. China is pushing to meet the 2035 deadline to prepare its military for a potential modern war. A new surveillance drone capable of carrying out strikes was also unveiled on Tuesday during the air show. With its long wings, this drone can also carry missiles, according to open-source intelligence agency Jens.
Trying to convey a message through air show!
China claims almost the entire South China Sea, while disputes are ongoing with several other countries. Experts believe that China wants to send a message to the world through this air show that it can now compete with America in terms of technology and weapons. Although China still lags behind the US in terms of technology and investment in its war machine, experts say that China is now bridging the gap. A US intelligence report this year has cited China's growing influence as one of America's biggest threats.
This air show which is usually held every two years was postponed last year due to the corona pandemic. However, this time this air show is being organized in front of the audience. Around 700 companies from 40 countries and regions including China, USA, UK, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland, Russia, Canada, and Brazil will participate in the air show. In addition, the number of exhibition halls has increased from 8 to 11. The area of the indoor exhibition is one million square meters, which is equivalent to 14 football fields, while the area of the outdoor exhibition is 3.6 million square meters, which is equivalent to 50 football fields.
More than 100 aircraft will be on display in it. The world premiere of the world's advanced level of new products, new technologies, new services, and new achievements in the aerospace and defense sectors will be the first exhibition in China. At the current expo, China will showcase 150 self-made aviation equipment and technology projects, of which about 40 percent will be displayed for the first time.
The China International Aerospace Expo is the only international professional aerospace exhibition approved by the Chinese State Council, consisting of flight shows and ground equipment demonstrations. Since its establishment in 1996, China International Aerospace Expo has become a high-level international fair in the fields of aerospace and defense and is one of the top five air shows in the world.
