
Bollywood actress Mamta Kulkarni has today resigned from the post of Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara. Ever since Mamta was made Mahamandaleshwar, a new controversy has arisen, after which she has now announced her resignation.
She said this while resigning.
Mamta Kulkarni today released a video and while resigning said,
"I am resigning from the post of Mahamandaleshwar of Kinnar Akhara. I have been a Sadhvi since childhood and will remain so in the future also."
Mamta Kulkarni said- I want to end the controversy.
Mamta further said that the post of Mahamandaleshwar was given to me only as an honour. I am resigning so that the controversy regarding this ends. She further said that I have been a Sadhvi from the beginning and will remain so in future also and it is not right to speak ill of the Akharas.
She said that I saw that many people were unhappy with me becoming Mahamandaleshwar and they are fighting with each other, that is why I am resigning.
Kinnar Akhara was given the title of Mahamandaleshwar.
Mamta Kulkarni had recently reached Mahakumbh in Prayagraj and performed her Pinddaan and took the initiation of sannyas. After this, she was given the name of Yamai Mamta Nand Giri. Kinnar Akhara had consecrated Mamta Kulkarni and given her the title of Mahamandaleshwar. With this, she became known as the Sadhvi of the Akhara.

Mamta Kulkarni had said that it is my good fortune that I took sannyas during the holy time of Mahakumbh. I took initiation from my guru Shri Chaitanya Gagan Giri at Kupoli Ashram 23 years ago. Now I have become a full-fledged sanyasini.
